I am a small-town Black girl who was always good at things but never felt good enough. My life’s journey, both personally and professionally, has been a search of finding my worthiness, beauty, and purpose. On this journey, photography lingered and stalked me in the background of my life. It finally presented itself at a time when I was willing to settle for a mundane life filled with the corporate daily rat race and mentally damaging work environment.

Let me explain…

My father loved photography. We have thousands of photos stuffed in old-school albums that would take hours or even days to look through.

Despite this obsession of his, I never thought twice about it. It was like paint on the wall. You know it’s there but are you really looking at it?

Somehow, it permeated my subconscious because after college I got my first job and needed a creative outlet.

I bought my first camera and a coworker offered to pay me $50 for a headshot and chango-presto, I discovered I had a hidden talent! Shortly after, I was let go from that job and I embarked on an excruciating yet exhilarating journey of entrepreneurship filled with twists and turns featuring failures, despairs, joys, FAITH, depression, resolve, and then more joy!

I spent a lot of time learning my craft and taking every type of gig I could get! I eventually realized that all that I’ve experienced (past jobs, marketing degree, self-expression, and being a hopeless romantic) has led to this passion and fulfilling myself by helping others.

I thrive best working with businesses and couples. Every photographer has their own artistic expression and their purpose for doing what they do. Through photography, I get to celebrate people in the most vulnerable times in their lives.

They’re navigating their own entrepreneurial journey and need help getting to the next level or they’re getting married and want to capture the most important days of their lives.

I am blessed to be invited into their world to construct their story the way THEY want it to be seen.
